High performance fibre-reinforced polymers are established in the range of aerospace and production of rotor blades for wind energy plant. In other industries, there is a growing interest.
 
For serial production applications so far lacked the necessary automation technology. The demands for a repeatable component quality and economic way of manufacturing identify the needs of the applied process technology.
 
In addition the the process design, the optimal integration of new processes in the existing field can contribute considerable rationalisation effects.

bwm GmbH has intensify acitivities in this field. We developed automation solutions for the handling and processing of fabrics. It is possible to assemble fibre preforms or to deposite fabrics directly in moulding tools. Often these demanding tasks cannot resolved by standard systems. This is compensated through process- and material-related bwm-effectors. Also for secondary process steps in the range of vacuum bag moulding, we offer solutions for applications of seals and sealing tapes.
